The Tallest Man On Earth – In The Pockets

October 4, 2011

A few months back The Tallest Man On Earth re-issued his debut, self-titled EP. However unlike most re-issues, he actually added an unreleased track from when it was originally recorded (2006). The best thing about this is that the track quality is just as good as his most recent LP, The Wild Hunt. One of the reasons I liked that album so much more than Shallow Grave was because the recording quality was so much better. “In The Pockets” sounds like it came off The Wild Hunt and is just as beautiful as anything he has made in the past. Just as usual, Matsson creates more sound out of his guitar and voice than most full bands these days. He is truly one of the greatest artists in the last decade.
