The Shins – Port Of Morrow

Some might criticize Port Of Morrow, calling it an album of compromise or a work of unnatural adjustments, but what else are the Shins supposed to do; they’ve been around since 1996 for God’s sake! But the title-track demonstrates James Mercer sticking true to the Shins’ signature brand of dream-folk while introducing some tropes that have become part of the modern indie-rock landscape.
