Ty Segall – Ghost
Twins is Ty Segall’s third album of the year. Somehow, he has managed to pull off each one without getting overly stale. To me though, this last one, is almost the culmination of what Ty Segall has always been about. “Ghost” demonstrates this perfectly. As soon as that first chord kicks in, the song becomes incredibly anthemic and substantial. And it only goes up from there. The falsettos in the background along with the repeating of “I don’t want to be a ghost” give the track life. And the epic guitar solo at the end kills it. Segall has never shredded so elegantly.
