Sin Fang – Not Enough
There’s something about Icelandic folk that gives off a mysterious, almost
mythological feel to it — kind of like how I often imagine Sigur Rós playing atop active volcanos with swarming dragons overhead. Icelander Sindri Már Sigfússon goes by the pseudonym Sin Fang, who will release his sophomore album “Flowers” on February 19 in the US. If you only listened to this track, you’d think Sin Fang was an indie rock outfit similar to the likes of Deerhunter or Atlas Sound. However, “Not Enough” veers from Sigfússon’s folk pop roots as somewhat of a statement that he is not afraid to experiment with new sounds. With this wonderful new album, Sin Fang has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the ever-expanding dreampop/dreamfolk genres.
