Harmony. One of the standout tracks is “Minor Slaloms,” which starts out with a twangy chord progression, moving into a danceable arrangement of Wild Nothing style strumming and lofty vocal lines. The song slows down for the chorus, but maintains its energy throughout the relatively simple composition. The rest of the album feels like a new experiment with each track, and it’s quite a treat to watch Mood Rings grow into a new sound throughout the record. Check it out below!
