Vernon (Bon Iver), but today the focus is shifted on one of the other talented members of the Volcano Choir crew, Thomas Wincek. He’s just put out his sophomore album with his other band All Tiny Creatures, and to put it lightly it’s one hell of a record. To think this guy will be responsible for not one, but two of the better albums released this year is a testament to how absurdly gifted Wincek is. I’m not even going to try to classify “A Lone Sound” into a particular genre, because you’ll see as the song progresses that it seems to fluctuate back and forth from folk to pop to electronic to “other”. With that being said, I can say the song is fantastic and is worth at least a couple of listens in order to fully appreciate.
