Ramesh – Requiem

January 21, 2014

Ramesh’s “Requiem” is one of the more refreshing tracks to come out in recent years. At a time when musicians feel the need to overload their music with unnecessary sounds and effects, Ramesh comes along with merely a piano melody and his voice to put those artists to shame. It takes a hell of an effort to sustain a full song with just those two elements, but Austin-based singer/songwriter Ramesh Srivastava pulls it off in an intensely beautiful fashion. His debut album The King is out now and if you can appreciate the heartfelt sincerity of tracks like “Requiem” then you’ll surely enjoy the rest of the record as well.
